Exciting :)<br /><br />This blog will be focused entirely on ribbon microphone research. I will collect links to ribbon microphone research on the web, as I find it, and I welcome you to also post links to great resources for ribbon microphone entusiasts like me.<br /><br />So why am I so obsessed with ribbon microphoneds?<br /><br />The first reason is that ribbon microphones simple sound amazing! Their ability to absorb even very spikey transients is fantastic and combined with the smooth mid-tones sound just makes it perfect for so many occasions.<br /><br />The other reason is, that I have invested in a new small danish company that build one of the most impressive ribbon microphones I have ever heard - the <a href="http://www.tundra-audio.com">Tundra POL-8 from Tundra Audio</a>. The sound of this ribbon microphone is just better than most others I have used.
